Business

Unirita Inc. leverages over 40 years of accumulated knowledge and expertise in data management and service management as its shared core competence, providing IT services to a broad range of customers including financial institutions, major manufacturers, and public institutions. The business consists of three segments: "Product Services," "Cloud Services," and "Professional Services," offering one-stop support ranging from mainframe packaged software to various cloud services, consulting, SI, and outsourcing. Consolidated revenue for FY2026 (ending March 2026) was ¥12,342 million. The company is listed on the Standard Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Business Model

The structure is such that the Product Services business (operating margin of 27.3%) generates stable cash flow, supporting growth investment in the Cloud Services business. Cloud Services builds up recurring revenue through a subscription model, while Professional Services enhances LTV (customer lifetime value) by offering comprehensive proposals and one-stop support to customers using the company's products and cloud services. Working capital and capital expenditures are funded from internal resources, and the company maintains debt-free management.

Company Strengths

The flagship product 'A-AUTO' is a domestically developed job management software that has been sold in Japan since 1977, and has built a long-term customer base primarily among financial institutions, life and non-life insurers, and major manufacturers. In FY2026 (ending March 2025), the Product Services business maintained a high operating margin of 27.3%, and order intake surged 136.8% year-on-year amid growing demand for migration and modernization.

As of the end of FY2026 (ending March 2026), the equity ratio stood at 76.7%, with cash and cash equivalents of ¥8,124 million, and zero borrowings from financial institutions (the ¥1,000 million commitment line remained unused). The company has the financial capacity to fund R&D expenses of ¥418 million and capital expenditures of ¥359 million entirely from its own funds, while also paying dividends of ¥539 million.

The company has built a mutually complementary framework across its three businesses: Product Services, Cloud Services, and Professional Services. Professional Services is responsible for making comprehensive proposals to customers using its products and cloud services, and in FY2026 (ending March 2026), Professional Services revenue increased 11.9% year-on-year to ¥3,943 million, while operating profit rose 36.2% to ¥413 million, marking a significant improvement in profitability.

ENVALITH's Perspective

The Cloud Services segment posted an operating loss of ¥357 million in FY2026 (ending March 2026), an improvement of ¥54 million year on year. While there are positive signs from individual services, such as growth in inquiries for LMIS's customer portal function and SecuAiGent, the segment remains in the red, and the absence of a concrete timeline or conditions for turning profitable leaves investors with a degree of uncertainty. While there is an external tailwind from the market environment as generative AI shifts from PoC to implementation, competition is also intense, making the pace of monetization a key point of differentiation in the evaluation.

Reversing the decline in revenue and profit seen in FY2025 (ending March 2025), FY2026 (ending March 2026) showed a clear recovery, with net sales of ¥12,342 million (up 5.6% year on year) and operating profit of ¥962 million (up 14.4%). A significant increase in profit from Professional Services (operating profit up 36.2%) served as the driving force. The forecast for FY2027 (ending March 2027) anticipates continued growth, with net sales of ¥13,250 million (up 7.4%) and operating profit of ¥1,050 million (up 9.1%); however, the medium-term management plan's numerical targets have been revised in light of rising procurement costs and labor costs, requiring careful assessment of the sustainability of profit growth.

The forecast for profit attributable to owners of the parent for FY2027 (ending March 2027) is ¥1,120 million (up 45.5% year on year), a substantial increase in profit; however, the main driver is a tax effect arising from the planned absorption-type merger with Uni-Trand (a mobile IoT solutions business), effective July 1, 2026. The gap between the growth rate on an operating profit basis (+9.1%) and that on a net profit basis (+45.5%) is due to a temporary factor, and should be evaluated separately from any improvement in the underlying earnings power of the business.

Growth Strategy

Under the medium-term management plan "Re.Connect2026," the company aims for sustainable growth through three pillars: growth investment in Cloud Services, modernization support, and human capital strengthening

Promoting enhanced functionality and expanded customer base for LMIS, Waha! Transformer (SecuAiGent), and Digital Workforce (infoScoop × Digital Workforce) services. In FY2026 (ending March 2026), operating loss was reduced to ¥357 million (an improvement of ¥54 million year-on-year). The company aims to turn profitable by capturing increasingly active inquiries for generative AI-linked services and growing demand for ID management.

Expanding migration and modernization support leveraging partner collaboration, capturing replacement demand and cloud migration needs arising from mainframe vendors' end-of-support for products. The number of projects is increasing through acquisition of demand to replace competitors' products with the Marutto Cho-hyo Cloud Service and through combined proposals with data management products.

Strengthening the consulting workforce to respond to increasing inquiries for data and service management consulting driven by DX. Operating margin reached 10.5% (up 1.9pt year-on-year) in FY2026 (ending March 2026), driven by increased outsourcing orders for system operations and a recovery in profitability in the SI business.

Investing funds and management resources into building core systems to realize data-driven management. Continuing investment in strengthening human capital, including reinforcing the recruitment structure, continuously updating HR systems, and providing training programs. The medium-term plan's numerical targets have already been revised in light of rising procurement costs and labor costs.

The company will absorb its wholly owned subsidiary Uni-Trand (mobile-oriented IoT solutions business) through an absorption-type merger effective July 1, 2026. Group human capital and other resources will be agilely deployed into the co-creation model that Uni-Trand has cultivated in addressing regional public transportation challenges, aiming to accelerate growth. Net income for FY2027 (ending March 2027) is expected to increase significantly due to tax effects associated with the merger.
