Recent Overview
Leading KPIs recovered to normalized levels, but full-scale revenue recovery expected from the second half onward
HR Business revenue for the interim period of FY2026 (ending November 2026) (December 2025 to May 2026) was ¥781 million (down 13.0% year on year). The restructuring of marketing measures, which continued from the first quarter, progressed, and leading KPIs such as the number of applications and interview conversion rate recovered to normalized levels. However, because a lead time is required before improvement in leading KPIs translates into revenue, a full-scale revenue recovery has not yet been achieved. Due to the continued effect of the cost structure review, the segment loss narrowed to ¥97 million from a loss of ¥122 million in the same period of the prior year. Conversion into revenue is expected from the third quarter onward. As a subsequent event, the company made TECH CREW Corporation (provider of the cloud-based labor management system "Jinji CREW") a subsidiary effective July 1, 2026, aiming to expand its services into the post-hiring labor management phase.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Companies' willingness to hire in the food service industry remains at a high level relative to other industries
- Recovery of leading KPIs such as the number of applications and interview conversion rate to normalized levels as the restructuring of marketing measures progresses
- Improved conversion rates through the establishment of operational systems for earlier contact and earlier interviews with job seekers
- Continued reduction of segment losses due to the ongoing effect of a fundamental review of the cost structure
- Expansion of services into the post-hiring labor management phase and strengthened customer proposal capabilities following the consolidation of TECH CREW Corporation
- Expansion of the business domain into the food industry as a whole and creation of synergies through the capital and business alliance with OIC Group Co., Ltd. (operator of Ropia)
- Recovery in performance from the second half (Q3 onward) as improvement in leading KPIs converts into revenue
Risks
- Risk of delayed revenue recovery due to the lead time between improvement in leading KPIs and conversion into revenue
- Risk of insufficient applications due to job-seeker acquisition falling short of expectations
- Risk of structural changes in job demand, such as a gradual downward trend in the effective job openings-to-applicants ratio
- Risk of hiring companies restraining recruitment due to rising labor costs
- Risk of revenue stagnation during the transitional period of restructuring marketing measures and rebuilding the applicant acquisition structure
- Risk of leakage of customer information and personal data (although Privacy Mark certification has been obtained, continuous strengthening of the management system is required)
- Risk of goodwill arising and integration costs associated with the consolidation of TECH CREW Corporation as a subsidiary (acquisition cost and goodwill amount are currently undetermined)
