Business Details
The domestic segment comprising Suncall Corporation itself and two domestic subsidiaries. In the automotive field, it manufactures and sells Materials-related Products (oil tempered wire, hard drawn steel wire, etc.) and Automotive-related Products (valve springs, busbars, LED-related products, etc.). In the electronics/information/communications field, it handles HDD Suspensions (withdrawal from this business completed during FY2026 (ending March 2026)), Printer-related Products, and Communications-related Products (Precision Components for Optical Fiber). It is the largest segment, accounting for approximately 53% of consolidated net sales (FY2026 (ending March 2026)).
Recent Overview
Although net sales declined significantly due to the completed withdrawal from HDD business, profit improved dramatically, up 108% year on year
Net sales for the Japan segment in FY2026 (ending March 2026) were ¥29,261 million (down 28.4% year on year). This was mainly due to the disappearance of sales resulting from the withdrawal from the HDD Suspensions business (shipments ended in July 2025). On the other hand, segment profit improved substantially to ¥2,769 million (up 108.0% year on year), mainly due to the disappearance of the reversal effect from business restructuring expenses recorded in the prior fiscal year. The major customer shifted from WESTERN DIGITAL to Toyota Motor Corporation (¥5,543 million), and the business structure has shifted to be centered on the automotive field.

Risks
- Significant contraction in sales scale due to withdrawal from the HDD Suspensions business (segment net sales in FY2026 (ending March 2026) down 28.4% year on year)
- Mid-to-long-term market contraction expected for automotive engine and transmission precision functional components, requiring a shift toward a profitability-focused business model
- Declining trend in orders for Printer-related Products (down 15.0% year on year in FY2026 (ending March 2026))
- Risk of declining orders from major customers in Materials-related Products (down 13.5% year on year in FY2026 (ending March 2026))
- Impact on the automotive supply chain and increased demand uncertainty due to U.S. trade policy and tariff developments
- Cost increase pressure from unstable exchange rates and rising prices
