Business Details

The Group operates in a single segment, the medical data network business. Through its management support systems for medical institutions, it collects and accumulates DPC data and other information, building Japan's largest clinical database, "Sakura DB," covering over 55 million patients. This database is leveraged for data utilization services aimed at pharmaceutical companies and research institutions, while also offering services to patients and consumers through the PHR system "Karteko" and the health checkup system "Alpha Salus." Services are organized into three categories: data network services, data utilization services, and other services.

The consolidated fiscal year under review (fiscal year ended December 2025) marked the final year of the medium-term management plan. Net sales increased across all service categories to ¥6,539 million (up 10.7% year on year). Data utilization services achieved a record high of ¥4,622 million (up 10.9% year on year), driven by the strengthening of the sales workforce. Selling, general and administrative expenses decreased to ¥4,204 million (down 2.9% year on year) due to reductions in advertising and R&D expenses, resulting in a significant improvement in operating income to ¥349 million (versus ¥3 million in the prior year). Profit attributable to owners of parent turned positive at ¥280 million (compared with a net loss of ¥791 million in the prior year).

The lineup includes offerings tailored to user needs, such as "MDV analyzer for Academia" and "MDV analyzer for Oncology." It serves as the core of the data utilization services and was the main driver of growth in the fiscal year under review, with sales of ¥4,621,597 thousand (up 10.9% year on year).

A DPC analysis benchmarking system that analyzes the difference between fee-for-service and DPC billing, as well as patient counts, length of stay, and medical resource use by disease and case type. As of the end of December 2025, it was adopted by 579 hospitals. Its strength lies in its large-scale benchmark data covering hospitals subject to DPC, which supports hospitals in formulating clinical and management strategies.

A cloud-based application that displays key indicators necessary for hospital management analysis in a single view. The Main Story function, currently offered free of charge, serves as an entry point to analysis using EVE and Medical Code. During the fiscal year under review, the company expanded its target audience beyond DPC hospitals, steadily increasing its customer base and contributing to the strengthening of its data acquisition infrastructure.

A cloud-based comprehensive health management system for medical institutions and health checkup facilities. It reduces operational burden through automated reception via web-based questionnaires, web-based reservations, and mobile devices. Integration with the PHR system "Karteko" enables automatic delivery of pre-checkup notifications, optional test recommendations, and reminder emails encouraging checkups. During the fiscal year under review, the installation and setup framework was restructured, and revenue recognition began from the fourth quarter.

A PHR system that allows patients and consumers to manage their own lifelong health and medical information. It is a web-based service that stores and displays information such as visited medical institutions, diagnoses, test results, prescribed medications, and treatments/surgeries. During the fiscal year under review, the company continued to promote adoption while reducing advertising expenses. It is also working to strengthen its data accumulation infrastructure through integration with "Alpha Salus."
