Business Details
A new segment formed from the integration of the former "Cloud Service & Support" and "System" segments, effective from FY2026 (ending March 2026). It comprises four product categories: Retail Solutions, Business Solutions, Global, and Maintenance Services. The segment offers a broad range of solutions, from security systems for the retail and distribution industry to access control and surveillance camera systems for data centers and offices, advanced fire protection systems for Southeast Asia, and cloud services such as MSP services. It provides 24/7/365 support from 300 service locations nationwide.
Recent Overview
Both net sales and operating profit rose sharply, driven by demand for security solutions for data centers and offices
In FY2026 (ending March 2026), the Business Security segment recorded net sales of ¥15,152 million (up 10.5% year on year) and operating profit of ¥1,402 million (up 21.6% year on year), marking substantial growth in both revenue and profit. The Business Solutions product category grew 15.0% year on year on strong demand for access control systems and surveillance cameras for data centers and offices, while the Global product category grew 23.3% year on year due to large-scale fire protection system projects and the effect of yen depreciation. Meanwhile, the Maintenance Services product category declined 4.0% year on year due to the discontinuation of maintenance for some products. The order backlog increased to ¥6,822 million, and revenue contribution in the next period is expected.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Continued expansion in demand for access control systems and surveillance cameras for data centers and offices
- Strengthening of a stable revenue base through expanded subscription contracts for MSP services and cloud services
- Expanded sales of RFID systems for the apparel market and launch of crime-prevention cloud services
- Increased customer spending through the addition of new product categories such as cyber and OT security
- Expanded global rollout of advanced fire protection systems for Southeast Asia and Thailand
- Improved visibility into next-period revenue from an order backlog of ¥6,822 million (up 14.5% year on year)
- Deepening of multi-product cross-selling through a loyal customer strategy
Risks
- Risk of declining maintenance service revenue due to the discontinuation of maintenance for some products (already recorded a 4.0% year-on-year decline in FY2026, ending March 2026)
- Risk of increased procurement costs from yen depreciation (while the Global product category benefits from yen weakness, it also raises the cost of imported goods)
- Price pressure from intensifying competition and difficulty differentiating services
- Intensifying competition with major IT vendors in the cloud services market
- Risk of supply chain disruption due to US trade policy and geopolitical risks
- Risk of reduced capital expenditure by customers due to Middle East tensions and financial/capital market volatility
- Risk of short-term margin pressure from growth investments (increased SG&A expenses) preceding revenue growth
