Business
Central Security Patrols Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive security company established in 1966 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. The group, consisting of the company, 12 subsidiaries, and 1 affiliate, operates the Security Business (over 97% of sales), which is centered on Stationed Security, Mechanical Security, Transport Security, and Construction & Equipment Sales, as well as the Building Management & Real Estate Business, which covers cleaning and electrical facility safety management, among others. East Japan Railway Company is the leading major customer (13.9% of sales), and the company maintains a solid business relationship with railway-affiliated companies. The number of Mechanical Security contracts reached 131,680 (102.1% year-on-year), and the company provides stable services through its nationwide group network.
Business Model
Stationed Security, Mechanical Security, and Transport Security recurring contract-type services form the core of revenue, with low cancellation rates underpinning stable cash flow. In addition, Construction & Equipment Sales such as security cameras and access control systems (¥8,583 million in sales for FY2025 (ended February 2025), up 26.5% year on year) is contributing to high growth. Continuous capital investment in mechanical security equipment (¥3,314 million in the current period) forms the basis for expanding the number of contracts, building a revenue structure that leverages economies of scale.
Company Strengths
The transaction with East Japan Railway Company, with which a basic business alliance agreement was concluded in 1997, reached ¥9,961 million (13.9% of sales) in FY2025 (ending February 2025), continuing to expand from ¥9,800 million in the previous period. Transactions with railway-affiliated companies offer high stability and continuity, and in the Kansai region as well, the company expanded a similar base through the transfer of the Stationed Security business from Hankyu Hanshin High Security Service (July 2024).
As of the end of FY2025 (ending February 2025), the number of Mechanical Security contracts stood at 131,680 (102.1% year-on-year). The total contract count of 143,744 (102.0% year-on-year), including 936 Stationed Security contracts and 3,047 Transport Security contracts, reflects the depth of recurring revenue with a low cancellation rate. Continued annual investment of ¥1,166 million in Mechanical Security equipment supports the steady accumulation of contracts.
At TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY (town opening in March 2025), the company has begun full-scale operation of a next-generation security service that fuses people and technology, centered on the Security Platform "Kakehashi". Having established a track record with a high-value-added model integrating security robots, AI cameras, and imaging services, the company is strategically promoting horizontal deployment to similar redevelopment projects.
ENVALITH's Perspective
Performance Trend
Revenue continued its expansionary trend, rising from ¥69,071 million in FY2022 to ¥78,745 million in FY2026, and cumulative revenue for Q1 of FY2027 (ending February 2027) of ¥21,496 million marked a new record high. However, operating profit is projected to decline sharply from ¥4,500 million in FY2026 to a full-year forecast of ¥3,500 million in FY2027 (down 22.2%), moving further away from the peak of ¥5,176 million recorded in FY2022. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent for Q1 fell to ¥844 million (down 30.3% year on year) due to the recognition of a ¥400 million extraordinary loss related to litigation. As an external factor, rising costs of securing human resources have become a structural profit pressure, as reflected in the increase in the cost-of-sales ratio (from 75.7% in the same period of the previous year to 76.5% in the current period). Operating profit in the Building Management & Real Estate Business improved significantly to ¥121 million (up 330.1% year on year), contributing to the diversification of profit across the group as a whole.
Growth Strategy
Under the medium-term management plan "Omoi 2030," the company aims to achieve sales of ¥90,000 million and an operating margin of 6.0% by FY2030 (ending February 2030) through next-generation security, M&A, and technological innovation.
Following initial deployment at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, the company is promoting expansion of its client base. It aims to differentiate its offering as a next-generation security service integrating AI cameras, sensors, and other technologies, targeting the acquisition of high-value-added contracts. In Q1 FY2027 (ending February 2027), the full-year contribution from TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY contributed to increased revenue in the Stationed Security segment.
Starting with the acquisition of Nippon Rengo Security Co., Ltd. in April 2025, the company is expanding the geographic coverage and number of contracts for Mechanical Security. In Q1 FY2027 (ending February 2027), revenue in the Mechanical Security segment was ¥5,873 million (up 6.5% year on year), with the M&A effect continuing to be reflected.
The company is promoting construction and equipment sales of the access control system "Centrix" and camera systems, primarily centered on the Shinagawa redevelopment project. In Q1 FY2027 (ending February 2027), revenue in the Construction & Equipment Sales segment was ¥3,873 million (up 6.7% year on year), confirming the contribution from these projects.
Through the development and provision of next-generation mechanical security services utilizing AI cameras, the company aims to build a scalable revenue model that does not rely on traditional labor-intensive security. This is also positioned as a response to rising costs associated with securing human resources.
