Risks

  • Instability in electricity revenue due to fluctuations in electricity market trading (down 17.8% year on year in FY2026, ending March 2026)
  • Upward pressure on operating expenses due to increases in smartphone procurement costs and sales promotion expenses
  • Downward pressure on ARPU (average monthly revenue per subscription) due to a rising proportion of users on the low-priced "Y!mobile" brand
  • Regulatory change risk under the Telecommunications Business Act and Radio Act (interconnection charge regulations, prohibited conduct regulations, etc.)
  • Impact on mobile subscriptions and unit prices from intensifying price competition with competitors
  • Impact on mobile revenue from retroactive settlement of interconnection charges (access charges) under interconnection accounting
