Business Details
Provides one-stop logistics outsourcing, payment processing, marketing support, BPO services, and other functions to mail-order and EC operators. The business is expanding its target market beyond the direct marketing sector to encompass all types of business operators. Logistics Outsourcing Service, Payment Processing Service, and SNS marketing all performed well, and the segment is positioned as the core segment for realizing the Group's medium- to long-term vision of becoming a "Direct Solution Company."
Recent Overview
Net sales up 20.4%, segment profit up 76.5%, despite recording a goodwill impairment of ¥548 million
In FY2026 (ending March 2026), the Solutions Business achieved significant growth in both revenue and profit, with net sales of ¥37,605 million (up 20.4% year on year) and segment profit of ¥1,570 million (up 76.5% year on year). This was driven by new customer acquisition and expanded demand from existing customers in Logistics Outsourcing Service, improved profitability from bad debt risk reduction in Payment Processing Service, and steady growth in SNS marketing. On the other hand, for the consolidated subsidiary ZonExpert Co., Ltd., as the initially projected earnings were no longer expected to be achieved, the full amount of goodwill of ¥548 million was recorded as an impairment loss under extraordinary losses. In addition, the increase in tangible and intangible fixed assets rose sharply to ¥2,108 million compared to the prior period, reflecting active capital investment in growth areas.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Acquisition of new customers in logistics outsourcing (development of new markets such as B2B logistics) and expanding demand from existing customers
- Continued steady growth in Marketing Support centered on SNS marketing
- Improved profitability from successful measures to reduce bad debt risk in Payment Processing Service
- Steady expansion of BPO demand against a backdrop of labor shortages and rising labor costs
- Expansion of service coverage to all types of business operators, not limited to the direct marketing market
- Strengthening of business under the resource concentration policy of "LPB (Logistics, Payment, BPO)"
Risks
- Increase in allowance for doubtful accounts due to deteriorating non-payment rates on individual receivables in Payment Processing Service (risk of profitability pressure)
- Full impairment of ¥548 million in goodwill already recorded for consolidated subsidiary ZonExpert Co., Ltd. (failure to achieve initially projected earnings)
- Slowing growth rate in the EC and mail-order market and intensifying competition due to an increasing number of entrants
- Deterioration in the business environment of client companies due to changes in the external environment such as rising prices, higher interest rates, and yen depreciation
- Rising logistics center operating costs (labor costs, energy costs, etc.)
- Increased investment recovery risk as the increase in tangible and intangible fixed assets has expanded significantly
