Business Details

The Company manufactures and sells publications, promotional printed materials, business-use printed materials, forms, securities, packaging, newspapers, shopping bags, and video productions. In addition to the Company itself, group companies including Mitsumura Process Co., Ltd., Media Mitsumura Co., Ltd., Shinmura Printing Co., Ltd., and Mitsumura High-Speed Offset Co., Ltd. handle manufacturing and sales. Major customers are The Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Head Office and Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., resulting in high dependence on specific customers. Amid a structural decline in paper media demand due to digitalization and continued increases in raw material and energy prices, the Company is working to improve profitability through appropriate pricing of products and improved utilization rates via plant consolidation and integration.

Recent Overview

Newspaper printing was transferred to a consolidated subsidiary; both sales and losses worsened due to declining commercial printing demand.

In January 2026, the Company discontinued newspaper printing production at its Kawagoe Plant and consolidated production functions into the new plant of consolidated subsidiary Mitsumura High-Speed Offset Co., Ltd. Combined with declining demand for commercial printed materials, including a decrease in municipal government publications, net sales were ¥13,278 million (down 5.6% year on year), and the segment loss widened to ¥371 million (compared with a loss of ¥314 million in the prior period). On the other hand, the Company is working to rebuild its profit base through pursuing the benefits of consolidating operations at the Sayama Plant, reviewing unprofitable transactions, and continuing negotiations for appropriate pricing.
