Business

Avix Inc. is a company established in 1989 specializing in digital signage centered on LED displays. Operating on a fabless basis without owning manufacturing facilities, the company provides an end-to-end service ranging from equipment leasing and sales to video content distribution and maintenance. Its main customers span multiple industries, including large-scale stadiums and arenas, major commercial facilities, cinema complexes, and sports facilities. Its consolidated subsidiary, Digital Promotion Corporation, handles community-based marketing (Value Creating Business), and the group as a whole operates two business segments. Consolidated net sales for FY2026 (ending March 2026) were ¥5,406 million.

Business Model

The Equipment Leasing Service and Operations Division are mainly driven by subscription revenue from leasing and monthly usage fees, with the accumulation of contracts forming a stable revenue base. The Information Equipment Division handles one-time revenue from the manufacturing and sales of digital signage. The CMS "DiSi cloud" is introduced together with hardware, generating ongoing billing after installation. The Value Creating Business is also centered on a subscription model, and together the two businesses form a structure that combines stable revenue with growth revenue.

Company Strengths

The Equipment Leasing and Operations divisions consist of leasing and monthly-fee subscription contracts, and the accumulation of contract volume forms a revenue base that is resistant to economic fluctuations. The CMS "DiSi cloud" has seen significant growth in both contract numbers and sales, and because it is introduced as an integrated package with hardware, the barrier to cancellation is also high.

The company steadily secures orders across diverse industries, including large-scale stadiums and arenas, major commercial facilities, cinema complexes, sports markets, and office entrances. These fields require high technical and construction capability, operational quality, and a long track record of installation and maintenance systems, making new entry difficult and thereby giving rise to a competitive advantage.

The company has built an in-house group structure capable of providing one-stop services ranging from the development of core LED module technology, to software development for the CMS "DiSi cloud" and the digital platform "MiRAi PORT", to installation and maintenance. The securities report explicitly states that total solutions that comprehensively address customers' goals form the core of its competitive advantage.

ENVALITH's Perspective

In FY2026 (ending March 2026), the company achieved robust revenue growth, with net sales of ¥5,406 million (up 24.4% year on year), while operating profit fell to ¥228 million (down 14.9% year on year), turning to a decline. The main cause was the expansion of selling, general and administrative expenses from ¥999 million to ¥1,110 million due to personnel increases and other factors, and the operating margin fell from 6.2% to 4.2%. Managing profitability amid revenue growth will be a key evaluation point going forward.

Net income attributable to owners of parent increased to ¥233 million (up 28.4% year on year), but this was largely boosted by an adjustment of income taxes of ¥-45 million (recognition of deferred tax assets). Income before income taxes was ¥216 million, below the previous period's ¥231 million, indicating that the company's substantive earning power actually declined year on year. For the FY2027 (ending March 2027) forecast, the company itself projects net income of ¥174 million (down 25.0% year on year), anticipating a rebound decline, and investors need to assess the company's underlying performance excluding tax effects.

As a result of newly raising ¥300 million in short-term borrowings at the end of FY2026 (ending March 2026), total current liabilities surged from ¥1,003 million to ¥1,437 million, and the equity ratio declined from 54.5% to 53.3%. On the other hand, cash and cash equivalents increased significantly from ¥661 million to ¥1,134 million, improving liquidity on hand. Amid remaining external risks such as foreign exchange fluctuations and concentration risk with Chinese suppliers, continuous monitoring is needed to determine whether the rising reliance on borrowings will materialize as a financial risk.

Growth Strategy

Subscription expansion centered on "DiSi cloud" and "MiRAi PORT", accelerating acquisition of large-scale high-end LED projects

The number of contracts and sales for "DiSi cloud" grew significantly in FY2026 (ending March 2026) as well. By bundling it with hardware installation, the company enhances customers' operational convenience and increases the added value of projects, continuously building up low-churn, stock-type revenue. In the next fiscal year, expanding the number of subscription contracts will continue to be pursued as the most important KPI.

The company is actively expanding "MiRAi PORT," a digital platform integrating AI signage solutions and other offerings, strengthening its ability to provide hardware, software, and operations in a seamlessly integrated manner. This differentiates the company from competitors and enhances its ability to win projects, aiming to realize the vision of becoming No.1 in the digital signage industry.

Through AUA LLC, established in collaboration with Unilumin, one of the world's leading LED display manufacturers, the company is expanding top-tier LED vision products into the domestic market. By combining Unilumin's world-class product capabilities with the company's comprehensive installation, operation, and maintenance capabilities, the company aims to accelerate the acquisition of large-scale projects at stadiums, large commercial facilities, high-end brand stores, and other venues.

The Area Fan Marketing business operated by Digital Promotion Inc. achieved sales of ¥258 million (up 45.6% year on year) and segment profit of ¥18 million (up 15.4% year on year) in FY2026 (ending March 2026). The company will continue expanding ongoing transactions with existing customers and winning new orders, further strengthening its stable revenue structure centered on the subscription model.
