Business
SAKAE ELECTRONICS CORPORATION is a specialty trading company for industrial electronic components and electronic equipment, founded in 1971. With the semiconductor manufacturing equipment-related market as its primary market, the company handles a wide range of products including General Electronic Components, Power Supplies, Electronic Devices, IoT Devices, and sensors. Together with its consolidated subsidiary Toei Electronics Co., Ltd., the company operates a sales network across multiple domestic locations (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Nagano, Yamanashi, Miyagi, Osaka, Kumamoto, etc.). In March 2026, the company established Toei Electronics Taiwan Co., Ltd. in Taipei, Taiwan, beginning its business expansion into the Asian region. The company has concluded distributor agreements with leading manufacturers such as TDK-Lambda, TDK, and Yamaichi Electronics, building a stable procurement and sales system.
Business Model
The company has concluded authorized-distributor and sales agency agreements with leading manufacturers such as TDK-Lambda, TDK, and Yamaichi Electronics, securing stable procurement routes. Through multiple domestic sales offices, it sells electronic components and electronic devices to industrial customers, mainly semiconductor manufacturing equipment makers, earning trading margins as its revenue source. The business structure aims to improve gross margins by strengthening proposals for high-value-added products and enhancing the sophistication of sales activities.
Company Strengths
Since its founding in 1971, the company has expanded sales offices across Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Nagano, Yamanashi, Miyagi, Osaka, Kumamoto, and other areas, building long-term business relationships with industrial customers centered on semiconductor manufacturing equipment makers. This 50+ year operating history and wide-area network constitute a unique asset that competitors cannot easily replicate in a short period.
The company has entered into distributor and sales agency agreements with leading manufacturers such as TDK-Lambda, TDK, Yamaichi Electronics, and TT Electronics Asia, securing stable procurement channels and preferential product supply. This maintains a stable supply capability to customers and serves as a differentiating factor as a trading company.
In order results for FY2026 (ending March 2026), orders received for IoT Devices increased 142.8% year on year, and sensors increased 91.1% year on year, recording high growth rates. General Electronic Components also recovered, increasing 45.4% year on year, and total order backlog reached ¥3,136,025 thousand (up 53.2% year on year), which is expected to contribute to sales in subsequent periods.
ENVALITH's Perspective
Performance Trend
Revenue peaked at ¥10,839 million in FY2023 (ended March 2023), then declined sharply for two consecutive periods, falling to ¥6,428 million in FY2025 (ended March 2025). In FY2026 (ending March 2026), revenue turned upward to ¥7,330 million, and operating profit also doubled from ¥63 million to ¥139 million. As an external factor, inventory adjustments for production materials at major customers progressed in the latter half of the period, and orders recovered mainly in the fourth quarter. Comprehensive income improved significantly to ¥394 million (versus ¥-37 million in the previous period), but this was mainly due to a ¥281 million increase in valuation difference on available-for-sale securities, and the underlying profit level remains low compared to the peak. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), the company forecasts revenue of ¥9,000 million and operating profit of ¥176 million.
Growth Strategy
Under the medium-term plan, the company aims for net sales of ¥15,000 million and ROE of 8% or higher, with expansion centered on its Taiwan base.
In FY2026 (ending March 2026), Taisako Electronics Co., Ltd. was established and consolidated. The company will pursue the creation of new business opportunities through deepening relationships with influential local partners, and promote the establishment of network hubs covering both sales and procurement across the Asian region.
The company aims to improve its gross profit margin by expanding sales of new and high-value-added products. It will also promote expansion into new growth areas such as IoT Devices, social infrastructure, and heavy electrical equipment fields, with the aim of reducing dependence on the semiconductor manufacturing equipment market.
The company is advancing the consideration and introduction of employee incentive measures aimed at securing and retaining outstanding talent, thereby establishing a sustainable growth foundation by simultaneously strengthening management's commitment and improving engagement among all employees.
As a basic policy of the medium-term management plan, the company has set a target of achieving ROIC/ROE of 8% or higher. It will implement a dividend policy that also takes into account its DOE (consolidated dividend on equity ratio) target, and for FY2027 (ending March 2027) plans a dividend of ¥13 per share, including a commemorative dividend of ¥2 for the company's 60th anniversary.
