Dividend Policy

The basic policy is a progressive dividend with a floor of 3.5% for the return on shareholders' equity ratio (DOE), aiming to maintain stable dividends. Dividends of surplus are basically paid twice a year, as an interim dividend and a year-end dividend, with the decision made by the Board of Directors. The FY2024 result was ¥38 per share (interim dividend of ¥17 plus year-end dividend of ¥21, including a ¥3 commemorative dividend for the company's 80th anniversary).

In June 2022, the company announced its support for the TCFD and conducted 1.5°C and 4°C scenario analyses. It has moved forward its target for achieving carbon neutrality at domestic plants from 2035 to 2030, and globally aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% or more by FY2030 compared to FY2019 levels. It has also begun assessing natural capital and biodiversity risks based on the TNFD framework. In terms of human capital, the company has adopted the goal of "active participation by all employees" and is promoting reforms in talent management and personnel systems. Based on the "Futaba Group Human Rights Policy" established in July 2022, the company promotes human rights-respecting management.
