Topy Industries is a comprehensive metal processing group formed in 1964 through the merger of four companies (32 subsidiaries, 4 affiliates). Its material supply division, the Steel Segment (electric furnace steelmaking and bar/shape rolling), works in tandem with its processing division, the Automotive & Industrial Machinery Parts Segment (steel and aluminum wheels, construction machinery parts, industrial fasteners, etc.), forming an integrated production system spanning from material production to final product processing. The company serves domestic and overseas automotive and construction machinery manufacturers as its main customers, and also supports global procurement in Europe, the US, and Asia. A vertically integrated model in which deformed shape steel and other products manufactured by the Steel Segment using electric furnaces are supplied internally to the Automotive & Industrial Machinery Parts Segment, where they are processed into high-value-added products such as wheels and construction machinery parts for external sale. Net sales to external customers in the Automotive & Industrial Machinery Parts Segment amounted to ¥201,635 million, accounting for approximately 68% of the total, and together with the Steel Segment's ¥89,226 million, these two segments form the majority of revenue. Revenue continued to decline after peaking in the ¥334,000 million range in FY2023 and FY2024, falling to ¥297,750 million in FY2026 (ending March 2026) (down 1.0% year on year), approaching FY2022 levels. External factors, including sluggish domestic steel demand and declining automobile production volumes in North America and Southeast Asia, weighed on sales. On the other hand, operating profit recovered significantly to ¥7,783 million from ¥5,300 million in FY2025 (ending March 2025), driven by progress in structural reforms and pricing formation in the Automotive & Industrial Machinery Parts Segment, which led to improved profit margins. It should be noted that profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥10,151 million includes a gain on sale of investment securities of ¥7,143 million. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), the company forecasts revenue of ¥326,000 million (up 9.5% year on year), operating profit of ¥8,000 million (up 2.8% year on year), and net profit of ¥6,000 million (down 40.9% year on year).

The company is advancing structural reform centered on improving the profitability of its U.S. operations within the Automotive & Industrial Machinery Parts Segment. In FY2026 (ending March 2026), operating profit for this segment reached ¥10,917 million, up 145.5% year on year, with the effects of structural reform becoming evident in numerical terms. Progress is also being made in establishing sustainable pricing.
The company is advancing the development of high-value-added products such as large-diameter ultra-lightweight aluminum wheels and forged aluminum wheels for commercial vehicles. It aims to capture electrification and weight-reduction needs and differentiate itself from existing products. In parallel, it is also strengthening collaboration with alliance partners in growing overseas markets.
The company continues to sell down cross-shareholdings, setting a target of reducing the ratio of cross-shareholdings to consolidated net assets from 11.3% as of the end of March 2026 to below 10% by the end of March 2027 (the deadline has been extended by one year). It aims to improve capital efficiency while strengthening shareholder returns through a combination of progressive dividends (DOE of approximately 2.5%) and share buybacks.
