Business

Global Style Co., Ltd. (Single Segment) is a company whose main business is the planning and sale of order-made suits and order-made shirts, etc. for men, women, and children. Originating from a long-established wool textile merchant founded in 1928, the company launched the "Global Style" brand in 2009 and changed to its current company name in 2022. As of the end of July 2025, the company operates 40 stores in major cities nationwide, with multiple store formats including "GINZA Global Style," "GINZA Global Style COMFORT," "GINZA Global Style PREMIUM," and "Premium Marunouchi." The main customer base centers on business people, with the target expanding to include women and inbound (overseas visitor) customers as well. While appealing to customers with a sense of value through price points starting from ¥38,000 (excl. tax) per suit, the company also achieves high fashion appeal through an assortment of approximately 5,000 fabric types.

Business Model

The Company has established a vertically integrated SPA model spanning fabric planning and direct procurement, outsourced tailoring, and in-store sales. By personally selecting and directly procuring approximately 5,000 types of fabric, the Company achieves high quality while controlling costs. Backed by high sales volume, it has built favorable partnerships with domestic and overseas tailoring factories, enabling speedy model development that reflects in-store needs. Through the GS App Club and GS Club, which had 638,537 members (as of end-July 2025), the Company promotes repeat purchases, and it enhances customer engagement through ancillary services such as the GS Online Order Service and GS Closet.

Company Strengths

The company selects and directly procures fabrics itself, achieving an industry-leading assortment of approximately 5,000 types. Through its SPA model, it eliminates intermediary costs, achieving both a competitive price range starting from ¥38,000 (excluding tax) per suit and high quality. The large volume of suits sold enhances negotiating power with factories and also contributes to speedy model development.

The combined membership of GS App Club and GS Club increased by approximately 81% over four years, from 352,625 as of end-July 2021 to 638,537 as of end-July 2025. For members whose measurement data is retained, the company offers online ordering and GS Closet (cleaning, storage, and repair services), building a mechanism that fosters ongoing customer touchpoints and repeat store visits.

The company operates multiple store formats, including its standard format "GINZA Global Style" (11 stores), the cafe-equipped "COMFORT" (17 stores), the premium format "PREMIUM" (7 stores), and the high-end "Premium Marunouchi" (3 stores). New formats were successively introduced in October 2023 and September 2024, addressing a wide range of customer needs from mid-price to high-price segments.

ENVALITH's Perspective

Cumulative revenue for the first nine months of Q3 FY2026 (fiscal year ending July 2026) reached ¥9,489 million (up 8.3% year on year), securing solid revenue growth. However, selling, general and administrative expenses expanded to ¥4,525 million (up 8.8% year on year), outpacing the revenue increase. The main drivers were higher personnel expenses and rent associated with two new store openings, along with increased advertising expenses for the "Gachi Suit" initiative, resulting in operating profit of ¥717 million (down 0.2% year on year), a slight decrease. As an external factor, the surge in raw material and procurement costs driven by the weak yen trend has also weighed on profitability, continuing the pattern in which cost increases offset the effect of revenue growth.

The full-year forecast remains unchanged, with revenue of ¥12,588 million (up 9.8% year on year), operating profit of ¥850 million (up 6.0% year on year), and net income attributable to owners of parent of ¥533 million (up 5.9% year on year). The progress rate for operating profit through the cumulative nine months of Q3 stands at a high 84.4%, but it represents a slight year-on-year decline, making profit accumulation in Q4 (May to July) key to achieving the full-year target. Given the seasonality of suit demand (the spring/summer sales season), the revenue contribution in Q4 is likely to be limited, meaning that the skill of cost management will determine whether the full-year profit target is achieved.

The annual dividend forecast for FY2026 (ending July 2026) has been revised upward to ¥47 (up ¥14, or +42%, from ¥33 in the previous fiscal year). While quarterly net income per share stood at ¥139.96 (versus ¥139.42 in the same period last year), essentially flat, the increase in the dividend payout ratio clearly signals a stance of strengthening shareholder returns. The equity ratio declined slightly to 38.1% (from 39.0% at the end of the previous fiscal year), but financial flexibility is maintained, supported by a liquidity buffer of ¥4,620 million in unused overdraft facilities.

Growth Strategy

Expanding the customer base multilaterally through new store openings, new products, SNS marketing, and inbound demand initiatives

In the cumulative nine months of FY2026 (ending March 2026)'s third quarter, the company opened two new stores, Kichijoji and LaLaport Izumi, bringing the store count to 41 by fiscal year-end. Both stores achieved steady customer traffic immediately after opening. The company aims to expand its revenue scale through continued openings in government-designated cities and areas near major metropolitan centers.

Defining "Gachi Suit" as "the one suit fitting for the occasion," the company has been distributing SNS short dramas. Cumulative views from the start of distribution in October through the end of April surpassed 70 million, driving growth in new customer purchases, particularly among younger demographics. This has contributed significantly to expanding brand awareness and cultivating a new customer segment.

The company has established a system to accommodate visitors to Japan by introducing a tax-free system, making its official website multilingual, and staffing English-speaking employees. It is now fully rolling out measures to capture robust inbound demand as a new revenue source.

The company is rolling out the "ZERO Like Model" jacket, pursuing ultimate lightness, along with women's blouses and men's down coats. Through new models that eliminate the tightness characteristic of suits, the company is simultaneously promoting additional proposals to existing customers and cultivating new customers.
