Business

Port, Inc. operates under the purpose of "Turning social liabilities into next-generation potential" and runs a Contract Support Business supporting corporate sales promotion and recruiting activities. In the human resources field, through services such as "Shukatsu Kaigi," "Career Park!," and "Minshu," the company holds one of Japan's largest membership bases, with over 90% of new graduates becoming members. In the energy field, through services such as "Ene Choice," the company supports approximately 900,000 or more electricity and gas contracts annually, making it the largest operator of its kind in Japan. An in-house contract support organization handles the entire process from prospective client acquisition to contract closing for corporate clients, and the company's performance-based fee model—under which fees are charged only upon contract closing—eliminates clients' risk of adoption. For FY2026 (ending March 2026), the company achieved revenue of ¥29,100 million and operating profit of ¥4,073 million.

Business Model

The company adopts performance-based contracts under which clients pay fees only when a contract is successfully closed, resulting in zero risk of wasted spend. The revenue KPI is defined as "number of leads × conversion rate × conversion value per contract," whereby leads are acquired through WEB marketing using the company's proprietary product suite, and an in-house contract support organization provides decision-making support to achieve a high conversion rate. In the energy domain, in addition to shot-type revenue, the company is promoting a shift toward stock-type (recurring) contracts, and the proportion of stock-type profit within EBITDA reached 34.9% in FY2026 (ending March 2026).

Company Strengths

In the energy domain, the company supports over approximately 900,000 electricity and gas contracts annually, making it the largest operator in Japan. In the human resources domain, it holds a unique membership base of approximately 720,000 members, of which over 90% of new graduates are members (Class of 2026, as of end of March 2026), building a customer and user base of a scale that is difficult for competitors to replicate in a short period.

The company possesses a contract support organization that has fully internalized operations from web marketing-driven customer acquisition through decision-support, in an end-to-end manner. Its strengths lie in strong recruiting capability for new graduates and mid-career hires and organizational development capability through rapid PDCA cycles, allowing it to significantly increase the number of contract support personnel while maintaining a high retention rate. This has also enabled customer acquisition from latent segments, reducing the risk of dependence on a single channel.

The recurring revenue ratio, which was 4.6% of EBITDA in FY2023 (ending March 2023), expanded to 34.9% by FY2026 (ending March 2026), with cumulative future profit accumulation over the four-year period reaching ¥6,447 million. The shift to recurring-type contracts has established a revenue structure in which future profits are recorded stably, enhancing the predictability of business performance.

ENVALITH's Perspective

In FY2026 (ending March 2026), the company achieved revenue of ¥29,100 million (up 32.5% year on year) and operating profit of ¥4,073 million (up 36.3% year on year), marking 5 consecutive years of revenue and profit growth. On the other hand, total assets expanded to ¥36,029 million (up 58.5% year on year), and total liabilities grew to ¥25,199 million (up 77.2% year on year). The ratio of equity attributable to owners of the parent declined from 37.4% to 29.3%, and the continued rise in financial leverage accompanying more active M&A and investment activities requires ongoing monitoring.

The company's forecast for FY2027 (ending March 2027) projects revenue of ¥39,000 million (up 34.0% year on year) and operating profit of ¥5,400 million (up 32.6% year on year), continuing to anticipate high growth. The medium-term management plan sets a target of ¥80.0 billion in revenue and ¥13.0 billion in EBITDA for FY2030 (ending March 2030). Changes in the external environment—such as full-scale entry (additional investment) into the Grid-Connected Battery Storage Business, progress of PMI with HRteam, and resource price trends stemming from geopolitical risk—could affect the probability of achieving the plan, making it important to confirm the progress of each initiative.

On a non-consolidated basis, the company achieved revenue growth to ¥12,931 million (up 26.7% year on year), while the operating loss widened to ¥874 million (compared with a loss of ¥359 million in the prior period). The main causes cited are aggressive growth investment in the HR domain and marketing investment in new business areas; however, on a consolidated basis, the company is posting solid profits, and its dependence on subsidiary earnings is increasing. Ensuring transparency in intra-group fund flows and the earnings structure as a holding company will be a key point for investors to confirm.

Growth Strategy

Targeting revenue of ¥80.0 billion and EBITDA of ¥13.0 billion in FY2030 (ending March 2030), pursuing diversified growth across Energy × Human Resources × Battery Storage

Continuing aggressive marketing investment in the Electricity & Gas Contract Support Service to expand both total contract volume and per-contract unit price. Continuing to accumulate future profit through the shift toward stock-type contracts, thereby strengthening a stable stock-type revenue base. In FY2026 (ending March 2026), EBITDA including future profit reached ¥8,707 million, reflecting steady accumulation of stock-type revenue.

In response to the social challenge of stabilizing power supply amid the expansion of renewable energy, the company aims to maximize profit through optimal operation in the wholesale electricity market, the balancing market, and the capacity market. Entry was verified in FY2026 (ending March 2026), achieving profitability from the first year. Full-scale entry (with additional investment) will be carried out from FY2027 (ending March 2027), accelerating vertically integrated support that covers both contract support and operational support for electricity providers.

By combining HRteam's strong sales and contract-closing know-how—consolidated as a subsidiary in November 2025 after previously being an equity-method affiliate—with the Group's overwhelming customer acquisition capabilities, the company aims to expand its share of the new-graduate recruitment support market. The company is pursuing maximum synergy through maximizing the number of contracts to strengthen bargaining power over per-contract unit prices, reinforcing the customer base, and horizontally deploying productivity-enhancement measures utilizing technology.

Building on the continued growth of Minshu Co., Ltd. and the expansion of total membership through capital and business alliances with Matcher, Diary, and yuth, the company aims to expand its share of the new-graduate support market by leveraging its robust member database. The company will also actively enter the market targeting people in their 20s, expanding growth opportunities in the human resources domain. Efforts will continue to maximize the number of contracts through increasing the number of career advisors and expanding regional offices.
