Recent Overview
Recovery driven by higher sales and a sharp increase in profit; the transfer of the Shiohama Plant and reduction-entry accounting will affect extraordinary income/loss in the next fiscal year
In FY2026 (ending March 2026), net sales were ¥21,329 million (up 2.9% year on year) and operating profit was ¥407 million (up 59.9% year on year), marking a substantial recovery. Notable features included a sharp increase in sales in the second quarter, improvement in the gross margin, and a swing to positive operating cash flow (¥1,523 million) due to a decrease in inventories. Deferred tax assets were recognized, resulting in an income tax adjustment of -¥190 million, which boosted net profit. As a subsequent event, in connection with the transfer of the Shiohama Plant (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture), the Company plans to recognize a gain on sale of fixed assets of ¥1,227 million as extraordinary income and a loss on reduction of fixed assets of ¥569 million from reduction-entry accounting as extraordinary loss in the following fiscal year. The forecast for FY2027 (ending March 2027) calls for net sales of ¥21,000 million (down 1.5% year on year) and operating profit of ¥300 million (down 26.3% year on year), reflecting the passing of large-scale projects.
Key Products

- Increase in security, helicopter transmission system, and receiving base station equipment projects for government agencies, including the Ministry of Defense
- Substantial increase in broadcast camera sales in North America (¥980 million, up 62% year on year) and expansion of large-scale projects with new OEM customers for medical cameras
- Expansion of market share in non-broadcaster markets through sales promotion of the IP extension unit "IPX-100" and the 4K/HD camera "UHL-X40"
- Expansion of market share for tablet inspection and printing equipment in the pharmaceutical market, and expansion of sales of flat-surface and powder inspection equipment for the industrial market

Risks
- Significant seasonal fluctuation risk from sales concentration in the fourth quarter (operating profit is forecast to decline 26.3% in FY2027 (ending March 2027) due to the passing of large-scale projects)
- Sluggish medical camera sales due to economic stagnation in the Chinese market and continued inventory adjustments by OEM customers (Asia region sales of ¥1,171 million, down 31.6% year on year)
- Slowdown in medical camera sales, mainly to microscope OEM customers in Europe, and delays in plans by new OEM customers (Europe region sales of ¥1,056 million, down 27.2% year on year)
- Impact of U.S. trade policy (tariff trends) on the management decisions and procurement costs of Chinese and European medical device manufacturers
- Impact on procurement from raw material price increases and supply constraints due to geopolitical risks such as escalating tensions in the Middle East
- Recognition of a ¥569 million loss on reduction of fixed assets as extraordinary loss in the following fiscal year (planned for December 2026) in connection with the transfer of the Shiohama Plant, and a forecast substantial decline in ordinary profit (¥100 million, down 72.1% year on year)
- Upward pressure on selling, general and administrative expenses from increased R&D spending aimed at developing IP-compatible broadcast system products and acquiring next-generation technology
