Risk Management

A Risk Management Subcommittee has been established under the Sustainability Committee to identify risks in business activities and implement preventive controls. A code of conduct for all group employees has been formulated based on the EKK Charter of Corporate Behavior and Compliance Regulations, and the risk management framework is maintained in coordination with regular audits by internal auditors.

Shareholder Returns

For FY2026 (ending March 2026), dividend per share is ¥125 (interim ¥60, year-end ¥65), payout ratio 57.7%, DOE 4.6%. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), an interim dividend of ¥70 is planned (year-end dividend undecided), reflecting the planned business integration with NOK Corporation (scheduled for October 2026).

The basic policy is to continue stable dividends, paid twice a year (interim and year-end). For FY2026 (ending March 2026), dividend per share is ¥125 (interim ¥60, year-end ¥65), total dividends ¥5,781 million, payout ratio 57.7%, and dividend on equity (DOE) 4.6%. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), since the company plans to undergo a business integration with NOK Corporation through the establishment of a joint holding company via a share transfer effective October 1, 2026, the interim dividend will be ¥70, while the year-end dividend remains undecided at this time.

ESG

ESG material issues (materiality) are identified and managed centering on the Sustainability Committee established in April 2021, with a goal of achieving carbon neutrality (Scope 1 and 2) by 2050. CO2 emissions in FY2025 are progressing well, down 31.2% domestically and 16.6% overseas versus the base year FY2018, and target-setting for human capital indicators is also advancing, including 15 female managers and 37 female career-track employees.
