Business Details
A new vehicle sales business that manufactures and sells hole-digging & pole-erecting trucks and aerial work platform vehicles for electric power, electrical, and telecommunications construction work, as well as aerial work platform vehicles for construction/cargo handling use, skid steer loaders, and other specialty vehicles. The segment's main customers are the domestic and overseas electric power industry and construction industry, and it also supplies OEM products to its parent company (ITOCHU Corporation) and Toyota Industries Corporation. The segment also expands overseas through its Chinese subsidiary and other overseas subsidiaries.
Recent Overview
Specialty Vehicles sales decreased 3% year-on-year due to the rebound effect from prior-period carryover sales
In FY2026 (ending March 2026), external customer sales of Specialty Vehicles were ¥44,652 million, a decrease of ¥1,375 million (3%) year-on-year. The main cause was the rebound effect from the carryover sales recorded in the prior-period first quarter cumulative period, which resulted from the resolution of the truck-mounted aerial work platform vehicle chassis certification issue. Segment profit also decreased by ¥1,013 million year-on-year to ¥7,608 million. On the other hand, the Parts & Repair segment offset this decline with increased revenue and profit, and the consolidated results overall secured increased revenue and profit.
