Business Details
Develops, manufactures, and sells hard disk-related equipment, Clean Transport Equipment (Clean Conveyor), semiconductor manufacturing-related equipment, Carrier Tape for Electronic Component Transport, Laser Process Systems, Ion Beam Milling Systems, FPC & Semiconductor-Related Inspection Equipment, optical measurement instruments, and other products. Operating subsidiaries such as YAC Mechatronics, YAC Garter, YAC Beam, and YAC Dustec handle these businesses, with a base in Singapore as well. The segment positions automation demand in semiconductor back-end processes as its primary growth driver.
Recent Overview
Cumulative 3Q net sales of ¥7,879 million and segment profit of ¥1,134 million, marking increased revenue and profit
During the nine months ended December 2025 (cumulative Q3 of FY2026, ending March 2026), sales of electronic component taping equipment, carrier tape, and semiconductor-related clean conveyors remained steady, while sales of IPA dryers and pure water heating systems for semiconductor front-end processes were strong. Net sales reached ¥7,879 million (up 12.7% year-on-year after reclassification), and segment profit reached ¥1,134 million (up 17.9% year-on-year). Note that from the first quarter, a review of segment-constituent companies was conducted, transferring JE International Co., Ltd. and GD Tech Co., Ltd. to the Environment & Social Infrastructure-Related Business.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Expanding demand for automation and equipment upgrades in semiconductor back-end processes
- Strong sales of IPA dryers and pure water heating systems for semiconductor front-end processes
- Continued steady sales of electronic component taping equipment and carrier tape
- Addressing the automotive semiconductor market through upgrade development of SiC chip handlers
- Pursuing synergies through sharing of customer and technical information within the Group
Risks
- Weakness in the automotive semiconductor market and risk of customers delaying mass production (materialized in the prior consolidated fiscal year)
- Concerns over secondary effects from US-China trade friction and tariff increases
- Risk of performance fluctuation due to changes in capital expenditure in the market
- Discontinuity in year-on-year comparisons due to review of segment-constituent companies
