Business Details

Comprises four companies: the Company (procurement and sales), Maruzen Kogyo Co., Ltd. (manufacturing and sales to the Company), Taiwan Maruzen Co., Ltd. (sales in Taiwan), and Maruzen (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (sales in Thailand). The segment serves a wide range of industries and business types as customers, including restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, hospitals, and welfare facilities, offering an industry-leading lineup of over 4,000 proprietary original products (Heating Equipment, Work Equipment, Refrigeration Equipment, Cooking Service Equipment, parts, etc.). This is the Group's core business, accounting for approximately 90.6% of consolidated net sales.

Recent Overview

Sales to restaurant chains and food supermarkets remained solid, resulting in higher revenue and profit.

In the first quarter of FY2027 (ending February 2027) (March to May 2026), sales to restaurant chains and food supermarkets continued to trend solidly, achieving net sales of ¥16,832 million (up 5.3% year on year) and segment operating profit of ¥1,886 million (up 7.4% year on year). Despite the persistently high prices of raw materials, rising logistics and other costs, and increased personnel expenses associated with human capital investment, the segment absorbed these pressures and secured profit growth.
