Recent Overview
Net sales decreased, but strengthened sales spread management drove a substantial improvement in profit
In the Civil Engineering & Construction Materials Business in FY2026 (ending March 2026), while shipments of wildlife-damage prevention wire mesh increased within the core Wire & Bar Processed Products, overall shipment volumes decreased due to postponement of construction starts and revisions to plans for large-scale projects across general construction works, resulting in net sales of ¥13,749 million (down 3.4% year on year). On the other hand, despite an environment of persistently high material prices and gradually rising logistics costs, the Company focused on securing sales spreads by product, resulting in a substantial improvement in segment profit to ¥585 million (up 76.8% year on year). Capital expenditures decreased from ¥667 million in the prior period to ¥313 million.
