Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Continued expansion of sales of domestic paddy rice herbicides and nursery box treatment products (Efida and Dizalta)
- Increased shipments of Axeev to the US driven by strengthened sales promotion support (capturing accelerated demand ahead of generic entry)
- Increase in equity in earnings of affiliates (up ¥976 million year on year to ¥2,318 million in H1 FY2026, ending March 2026)
- Progress in launch preparations for new agrochemical pipeline products (Banenta and Ecoark)
- Global sales expansion leveraging the network of overseas subsidiaries and equity-method affiliates
Risks
- Intensified price competition and reduced profit margins due to generic entry into the herbicide Axeev
- Foreign exchange risk (high proportion of overseas sales, with earnings pressure during yen appreciation phases)
- Risk of crude oil and naphtha supply shortages and price surges due to escalating tensions and prolonged conflict in the Middle East
- Geopolitical risks and demand fluctuations in Latin American markets such as Argentina
- Sales constraints due to stricter agrochemical registration regulations and changes in agrochemical policy in various countries
- Price surges in raw materials, fuel, and agrochemical raw materials, and supply chain instability
