Risk Management

The company has established a Risk Management Committee chaired by the Representative Director and President to identify and manage company-wide risks. The Internal Audit Department and Legal Department collaborate to promote risk management activities, with a system in place to regularly report progress to the Board of Directors. Internal and external whistleblower hotlines have also been established to facilitate early detection of compliance violations.

The mid-term business vision (FY2022-FY2026) sets out the "Five Priority Sustainability Commitment Issues." On climate change response, CO2 emissions at the Yumegaoka Plant have been reduced by 81.4% versus 2019 levels (achieving the 2026 target of 75%), with the group aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050. On human capital, the company discloses a female manager ratio of 14.7% (2030 target: 20%), a paid leave utilization rate of 75.6%, and a young employee turnover rate of 12.8% (2030 target: 6%). Environmental and procurement KPIs are also set and managed, including an RSPO-certified palm oil adoption rate of 50.8% and a 16.4% reduction in petroleum-derived virgin plastic usage (versus 2020 levels).
