Business

Social Wire Co., Ltd. is a company listed on the TSE Growth market whose core business is the Digital PR Business, with SNS media as its primary battleground. Its main services consist of four pillars: influencer PR utilizing Instagram, "Find Model" and "iHack"; press release distribution service "@Press"; media clipping services "@Clipping" and "Clip Master"; and the compliance-focused risk-check SaaS "RISK EYES." Its customer base spans a wide range of industries, including cosmetics, daily necessities, travel, and real estate, centered mainly on TSE Prime-listed companies, advertising agencies, and PR firms. In July 2024, the company became a subsidiary of Geniee, Inc., and is accelerating its growth while receiving technological support from its parent.

Business Model

Influencer PR earns revenue on two axes: individual project contracts per customer (full-service type) and the monthly flat-rate platform "Find Model Circle." The press release distribution service "@Press" combines usage-based billing according to the number of releases with monthly contracts. The risk check service "RISK EYES" is SaaS-based, building up recurring subscription revenue. Cross-selling among the various services aims to increase per-customer revenue.

Company Strengths

Since Find Model became a subsidiary in 2018, the company has accumulated a decade of on-the-ground track record, data, and operational know-how from the industry's formative period. The number of influencer PR projects reached 1,353 in FY2026 (ending March 2026), up approximately 45% from 933 in FY2022 (ended March 2022), and this continued expansion, supported by a reproducible design and operation framework, serves as a key differentiator from competitors.

"RISK EYES," a SaaS-based risk-check tool developed on the foundation of information-gathering and analysis know-how cultivated through the clipping business, expanded its project count approximately 2.5-fold, from 11,795 in FY2024 (ended March 2024) to 29,533 in FY2026 (ending March 2026). The tool provides high added value through AI-driven noise screening functionality, sanctions list checks for overseas companies, and API integration support.

In July 2024, the company became a subsidiary of Geniee, Inc., and through the technology provided by its parent, achieved faster page loading and improved SEO effectiveness for the "@Press" site. It has implemented features such as generative AI-based manuscript proofreading, image proofreading, short-video generation, automatic translation, and media selection optimization, complementing technology investments that would be difficult to undertake independently through collaboration with its parent company.

ENVALITH's Perspective

FY2026 (ending March 2026) net sales of ¥3,513 million (up 20.9% year on year) and operating profit of ¥227 million (up 65.9% year on year) are solid, but the newly consolidated iHack Co., Ltd. is contributing to this. On a non-consolidated basis, net sales were ¥2,401 million, down 6.1% year on year, and it should be noted that a significant portion of the consolidated growth stems from M&A. Disclosure of the sales trend of existing businesses excluding iHack is needed to assess the true state of organic growth.

The company's forecast anticipates substantial growth, with net sales up 25.6% and operating profit up 87.0% year on year. This assumes a full-year contribution from the iHack consolidation and continued growth of existing services, but consideration must also be given to the increasing burden of goodwill amortization (¥47,181 thousand recorded in FY2026 (ending March 2026), with a balance of ¥646,509 thousand) and the rise in financial leverage, as the equity ratio declined from 61.2% to 51.2%. External risks also exist, such as the impact of U.S. trade policy and the risk that companies may curb marketing budgets due to price increases.

Operating cash flow continued to improve, reaching ¥292 million (versus ¥158 million in the previous period), and the interest coverage ratio improved significantly from 10.4x to 39.0x. On the other hand, ¥1,019 million was spent on investing activities including the iHack acquisition, and cash and cash equivalents decreased to ¥1,268 million (from ¥1,411 million in the previous period). The cash flow to interest-bearing debt ratio also worsened from 1.2 years to 2.9 years, making the future capacity for additional M&A and capital expenditure, as well as trends in funding costs, points of focus going forward.

Growth Strategy

Aiming for FY2027 (ending March 2027) revenue of ¥4,412 million through three pillars: sophistication of influencer PR, integration of iHack, and enhancement of product value

Against a backdrop of demand for building empathy and disseminating information on social media, the company is advancing the sophistication of its corporate information dissemination and awareness expansion model that combines influencer PR with release distribution. It aims to simultaneously improve service quality and profitability through generative AI-driven optimization of media selection, support for release creation, and operational efficiency improvements.

The company is integrating iHack, which became a newly consolidated subsidiary in FY2026 (ending March 2026), to expand its service lineup and customer base. Toward the early recovery of goodwill of ¥625,550 thousand (balance of ¥646,509 thousand) arising from the acquisition of iHack, the company is promoting cross-selling to existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.

The company continues to accelerate the @Press site (leveraging parent company Geniee's technology) and strengthen SEO, expand the RISK EYES database, and enhance the added value of its media listening service. Through strengthening the competitiveness of each product, it aims to increase customer unit prices and reduce churn rates.
