Business
Secureworks Vail Co., Ltd. (Secure Vail) is an IT security specialist group founded in 2001, comprising three companies: Secure Vail (SOC operation monitoring), LogStare (log analysis software development and sales), and Career Vail (information security engineer training and staffing). In its core information security business, the company offers 24/7/365 integrated security operation monitoring services via "NetStare®" and the next-generation SOC service "AI-SOC™" leveraging AI technology. Its in-house developed "LogStare®" is a platform integrating network monitoring, log management, and AI analysis, provided to a wide range of customers from mid-tier and large enterprises to SMEs and medical institutions. The company transitioned to the TSE Standard Market in January 2026 and additionally listed on the Sapporo Securities Exchange Main Board in February of the same year.
Business Model
Revenue is composed primarily of monthly recurring charges (subscription-type) from SOC operation monitoring services, with stable revenue from contract renewals forming the foundation. Because development costs for the in-house developed "LogStare®" have already been fully amortized, expansion in sales of this product contributes directly to margin improvement, giving the business a high-profitability structure. In the staffing services business, the company trains and dispatches information security engineers, and creates group synergies through cross-selling via hybrid proposals to information security business customers.
Company Strengths
Since its founding in 2001, the company has operated as a dedicated information security specialist, continuously running a 24/7/365 SOC operation and accumulating over 25 years of operational know-how. In December 2025, it released the "AI-SOC™" series, which transfers this know-how to AI, achieving unmanned SOC operation and lower costs. Coverage is being expanded sequentially, including support for FortiGate and Microsoft 365.
The in-house developed software "LogStare®" has already fully amortized its development costs, meaning that growth in sales of this product translates directly into earnings at a high profit margin. In FY2026 (ending March 2026), the information security business segment's profit margin reached 25.0%, with increased sales of LogStare products being the main driver of a 220.9% year-on-year increase in operating profit (¥113 million).
The company has established a vertically integrated business model that unifies SOC operation and monitoring (Secure Vail), log analysis software development (LogStare), and engineer training and dispatch (Career Vail). This structure allows the latest on-site trends to be immediately reflected in service development, enabling the company to provide customers with a one-stop service ranging from SOC operations to software provision and staffing.
ENVALITH's Perspective
Performance Trend
Net sales grew 33.8% over five fiscal years, from ¥957 million in FY2022 (ended March 2022) to ¥1,280 million in FY2026 (ending March 2026). Operating income swung from three consecutive years of losses in FY2022–FY2024 (cumulative loss of ¥160 million) to a sharp recovery, reaching ¥35 million in FY2025 (ended March 2025) and ¥113 million in FY2026 (ending March 2026). The main driver of the sharp profit improvement in FY2026 (ending March 2026) was an increase in gross margin (from 39.3% to 45.4%) resulting from higher sales of the "LogStare" product, for which development costs have already been amortized. As an external factor, the increasing sophistication of ransomware attacks and progress in establishing an active cyber defense regulatory framework are boosting demand for information security, and combined with the accumulation of recurring stock-type revenue, the trend of increasing revenue and profit continues. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), net income is forecast at ¥95 million (down 9.5% year on year) due to expanded business investment.
Growth Strategy
Aiming for net sales of ¥1,438 million through expansion of AI-SOC series sales, partner development, and expansion into the small and medium-sized enterprise market
The company began offering the "AI-SOC series," which combines SOC (Security Operation Center) operational know-how with AI technology, and has expanded its coverage to major cloud services and network equipment. Through more sophisticated automated alert judgment and prioritization, it aims to provide efficient services even amid labor shortages, thereby acquiring new customers and expanding stock-type recurring revenue.
The company is pursuing "partner development centered on the AI-SOC series," "revitalization of existing partners," and "increased engagement with existing customers" as its expansion strategy for fiscal 2026. By leveraging a partner-based sales network, it aims to achieve scalable customer acquisition and upselling beyond the reach of its own sales resources.
In addition to its existing services for mid-sized and large enterprises, the company is expanding services for small and medium-sized enterprises to diversify its customer base. This aims to reduce the risk of revenue concentration on NRI Secure while building up stock-type recurring revenue by developing new customer segments.
The company is advancing early threat detection on networks and more sophisticated log analysis, contributing to improved cyber resilience for client companies. In FY2027 (ending March 2027), it plans to actively invest in organizational strengthening, new service planning and development, and marketing, in order to build a foundation for medium- to long-term revenue growth.
