Business Details

Sells gasoline, kerosene, light oil, heavy oil, and LP gas as an agency for ENEOS and others, and also handles environmental products such as solar power generation and LED. Composed of three pillars—Petroleum Products Sales (Industrial Fuel Oil, Gasoline, etc.), Gas Station Operations, and LP Gas Sales—it is the largest segment, accounting for approximately 48% of the Group's consolidated net sales. In August 2025, the company made Suehiro Gas Co., Ltd. a subsidiary to strengthen the LP gas business. It is also working to expand sales of decarbonization products and build new revenue foundations, such as the Hyakunen Solar Tohoku project.

Recent Overview

Net sales decreased 1.1% year on year, but segment profit increased significantly by 27.6%, sharply improving profitability.

In the Energy Business for FY2026 (ending March 2026), net sales were ¥279,608 million (down 1.1% year on year) due to crude oil price fluctuations caused by escalating tensions in the Middle East and a structural decline in demand for petroleum products. On the other hand, segment profit improved significantly to ¥7,456 million (up 27.6% year on year) due to improved purchasing cost management and progress in passing on costs to prices. In August 2025, the company made Suehiro Gas Co., Ltd. a subsidiary to strengthen the LP gas business, and also began building new revenue foundations, such as launching the Hyakunen Solar Tohoku project.

Growth Drivers

  • Expansion of the LP gas business's customer base and business rights through Suehiro Gas Co., Ltd. joining the Group
  • Expansion of sales of decarbonization products such as the next-generation biodiesel fuel "SUSTEO" and "Carbon-Offset LP Gas"
  • Strengthening total services such as the opening of new car coating pro shops at gas stations

  • Risk of rising procurement costs due to fluctuations in crude oil prices and LP gas import prices
  • Risk of energy prices remaining elevated due to prolonged situations in Ukraine and the Middle East
  • Risk of impairment of fixed assets (an impairment loss of ¥1,471 million was recorded company-wide, including the Energy Business, on a consolidated basis for FY2026 (ending March 2026))
  • Uncertainty in the business environment due to fluctuations in international conditions, including US tariff policy
