Business Details
Provides Nanny Service, Babysitter Service (Poppins Sitter) (child care), and Silver Care Service (VIP Care Service) (in-home elderly care) and housekeeping support services. Centered on home-visit personal services, it functions as social infrastructure supporting the life stages of working women. In the first quarter of FY2026 (ending December 2026), net sales were ¥2,418 million (up 20.7% year on year) and segment profit was ¥559 million (up 30.1% year on year), continuing strong growth. It is the most profitable segment, accounting for 48.9% of the Group's total segment profit.
Recent Overview
Driven by Babysitter Service and Silver Care Service, Q1 segment profit rose 30.1% year on year.
In the first quarter of FY2026 (ending December 2026), all services grew: Babysitter Service up 29.8% year on year, Nanny Service up 9.0% year on year, and Silver Care Service up 10.6% quarter on quarter. The effects of the April 2025 babysitter price and compensation revisions and the June 2025 Silver Care price and compensation revisions continued to contribute. The segment profit margin improved from 21.4% to 23.1%, and the share of Group profit also rose from 31.5% to 48.9%. Increased personnel and recruitment costs associated with strengthening the concierge system for Nanny and Silver Care services were a cost-increasing factor, but this was outweighed by the effect of higher sales.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Capturing robust demand through municipal and national usage subsidy programs, centered on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's babysitter usage support program
- Improved sales unit price and strengthened supply capacity through the April 2025 babysitter price revision and sitter compensation revision
- Continued contribution from the June 2025 Silver Care Service price revision and care staff compensation revision
- Expansion of the babysitter supply system through continued investment in recruitment advertising and expansion of recruitment locations (promoting utilization of existing sitters, increasing applicant numbers, and ensuring quality through face-to-face interviews)
- Full-scale expansion of Silver Care demand as the entire baby boomer generation turns 75 or older
- Improved average revenue per customer through contributions from high-value-added services such as nurse care
Risks
- Intensifying competition to secure human resources such as babysitters and care staff (tightening of the overall labor market)
- Pressure on profit margins from increased semi-variable costs, such as recruitment advertising, payment processing, and system maintenance costs, associated with business growth
- Increased personnel and recruitment costs associated with strengthening the concierge system for Nanny and Silver Care services
- Risk of demand fluctuation due to changes in government and municipal subsidy programs or policy shifts
- Risk of accidents or scandals related to quality control and risk management (directly affecting trust in the babysitting industry)
