Recent Overview

Sales increased, but segment profit slightly declined due to lower earnings at consolidated subsidiaries

In FY2026 (ending March 2026), Japan segment net sales increased to ¥169,326 million (up 2.6% year on year). "Rohto V5," "Hada Labo," "Lip Balm," "GYUTTO," and "Eye Drops" performed well, and Rohto Nitten Co., Ltd. and Tenshin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. also contributed to sales growth. On the other hand, segment profit slightly declined to ¥22,126 million (down 1.5% year on year). While Rohto Pharmaceutical's core business maintained profit growth, lower earnings at consolidated subsidiaries had an impact. Capital expenditure (increase in tangible and intangible fixed assets) increased substantially to ¥22,301 million from ¥8,479 million in the previous fiscal year.
