Risk Management

The Sustainability Promotion Committee oversees compliance and risk management, conducting company-wide identification of risks and opportunities and specifying priority risks to be managed on a quarterly basis. A system has been established whereby the status of activities is regularly reported to the Board of Directors. In the event of an emergency, procedures are in place to establish a response headquarters headed by the President and Executive Officer to ensure a swift response.

Shareholder Returns

Dividend policy targets a DOE (dividend on equity ratio) of 3% or more. For FY2026 (ending May 2026), the year-end dividend is expected to be increased by ¥1 from the forecast, resulting in an annual dividend of ¥77 per share, a payout ratio of 24.0%, and a DOE of 2.9%. For FY2027 (ending May 2027), an annual dividend of ¥84 (interim ¥42, year-end ¥42) is planned. As a subsequent event, the Board of Directors resolved to conduct a share buyback at its meeting on July 13, 2026.

Under the management philosophy of "Shisha Kyoei" (Prosperity for All Four Stakeholders), the company has established E, S, and G as materiality themes. In the environmental area, it conducts scenario analysis based on the TCFD recommendations, targeting a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by FY2030 compared to FY2017 levels.
