Risk Management

The company has established a Risk Committee (meeting at least once per quarter, chaired by the Representative Director) based on its Risk Management Regulations, to identify, assess, and confirm the response status of business risks. Sustainability-related risks are also deliberated by this committee, and a system is in place to report and share important issues with the Board of Directors. A Compliance Committee is also held with the same frequency to manage the status of legal and regulatory compliance.

The company positions its business activities in line with SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education), contributing to paperless operations through the ICT-ization and CBT-ization of education. In terms of human capital, it has renewed its personnel system, promoted work-from-home arrangements (implemented at 80–90%), conducted harassment training, and held small meetings. At its subsidiary, the Institute for Educational Measurement, Inc., the ratio of female managers reached 32.7% (1.38 times the industry average), and the male employee childcare leave take-up rate reached 100%. TCFD disclosure has not yet been implemented, but the company recognizes the importance of reducing environmental impact.
