Business Details
This segment consists of the "Platform" field, which develops smartphone-oriented platform solutions and IoT-related solutions; the "Content Services" field, which handles social games, app-related work, and contracted game development; and other contracted development projects. Goodman Inc., which began contributing to consolidated results from November 2025 (import/sales and in-house manufacturing of measurement/detection equipment for maintenance and inspection of electricity, telecommunications, water, and other infrastructure, and an AI-based continuous automatic monitoring leak detection business), is also included in this segment.
Recent Overview
Revenue and profit expanded due to the acquisition of Goodman as a subsidiary, with segment assets also increasing significantly
In FY2026 (ending April 2026, an irregular 8-month fiscal period), revenue was ¥393 million and segment profit was ¥65 million, representing an increase in both revenue and profit from the prior period's (12-month) revenue of ¥264 million and segment profit of ¥31 million. Goodman Inc.'s infrastructure detection and measurement equipment business, which began contributing to consolidated results from November 2025, contributed to the increase in segment revenue and profit. Segment assets increased significantly from ¥59 million at the end of the prior period to ¥1,751 million, mainly attributable to asset recognition associated with the Goodman acquisition.
Key Products
Growth Drivers
- Full-scale increase in revenue and profit from the full-year contribution of Goodman Inc. (infrastructure detection and measurement equipment business) (FY2026 (ending April 2026) only reflects partial contribution from November 2025, with full-year contribution expected from FY2027 (ending April 2027) onward)
- Stable growth in contracted development projects driven by the steady performance of the AcrodeaIoT product
- Continued stable revenue from the stock-type business through Multi-package Installer for Android
- Creation of new revenue sources through the launch of new services applying AR (augmented reality) technology
- Expectations for group synergies between the infrastructure detection equipment business operated by Goodman and Iiyama Doken (civil engineering construction business)
Risks
- Risk of timing misalignment (delays) in contracted development projects within the Content Services field
- Amortization burden and impairment risk related to goodwill (period-end balance of ¥1,413 million, recorded at the company-wide level) associated with the Goodman subsidiary acquisition
- Risk of declining profitability of existing products due to intensifying competition in the smartphone and IoT markets
- Risk of declining revenue in the Content Services field due to the shrinking trend of the social game market
- Segment assets have increased significantly from the end of the prior period (¥59 million → ¥1,751 million), requiring commensurate revenue generation relative to invested capital
