Risk Management

At the monthly "Group Management Committee" (comprising the Company's directors and the directors of operating subsidiaries), specific, comprehensive, and potential risks are identified and countermeasures are implemented. The Internal Audit Office (3 members), the Audit & Supervisory Board Members, and the audit firm collaborate to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Sustainability risks are managed through a five-stage process including scenario analysis, and are reported to the Board of Directors at least twice a year.

Shareholder Returns

The annual dividend for FY2026 (ending March 2026) is ¥52 per share (interim ¥26 + year-end ¥26), with a payout ratio of 41.5% and a dividend-to-net-assets ratio (DOE) of 3.6%. For FY2027 (ending March 2027), the dividend is expected to increase to ¥54 per share (interim ¥27 + year-end ¥27), with a projected payout ratio of 39.9%. Share buybacks were also conducted (acquisition amount for the current fiscal year: ¥1,183 million).

The Sustainability Committee (established in March 2023, chaired by the Representative Director and President) reports important matters, including climate change response, to the Board of Directors at least twice a year. FY2024 Scope 1 and 2 emissions totaled 35,126 t-CO2, and Scope 3 emissions totaled 146,163 t-CO2; against the FY2030 target of 0.55 t-CO2 or less per ¥1 million in sales, the FY2024 result of 0.53 t-CO2 per ¥1 million has already achieved this target. On the human capital front, against the FY2028 target of 30% for the ratio of women in management positions, the current figure stands at 19.7%, and against an engagement score target of 55, the actual result was 53.7. The company is also promoting supply chain initiatives such as food loss reduction, the introduction of plant-based vegetables, and plastic alternatives.
